The Easter period is on the horizon and for me, this time of year provokes thoughts of family, friends – and chocolate indulgence. While my family do not celebrate Easter in the traditional sense, I find this holiday period makes a great excuse to spend time with loved ones and to reflect on and appreciate the little things in life. I would be lying if I denied that there is also a fondness in my heart for the odd chocolate egg (or two or three). Apart from a cocoa covered sugar overload, this season also offers fantastic inspiration for your projects.

When I consider Easter in the paper crafting sense, I immediately think of pastel hues and the abundance of nature – flower blooms, bunnies, chicks and baby animals to mention a few of my favourites. Soft flowing lines spring to mind for designing. and reflective thoughts evolve as a must for layouts and cards.

This issue we have put together a delectable mix of articles to get your creative juices flowing. Shaping up! gets back to nature with leaf-themed designs, while Colour exposé explores the soft appeal of pretty pastel tones. For those that like to share their thoughts at Easter through heartfelt gifts or cards, we also have some gorgeous Easter-inspired creations that you can create for loved ones.

There are plenty more fabulous projects in this issue to spark your imagination. Get creative making your own invitations, try your hand at quilling, personalise gifts with coordinated wrapping, learn a new technique or indulge someone special with a handmade keepsake.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab some supplies – and perhaps a few choccie treats – and get motivated to create your way through to Easter and beyond!
